this morning was fantastic. we woke up to news that there was a leopard with its kill. well, we found it...and it had dragged this impala all the way up into the tree

breakfast is served

the ever so elusive leopard. the fifth and final "big 5" sighting. so happy that we saw it awake during the day, instead of at night, in a tree.

a vulture or something was coming in to get at the kill in the tree, and the leopard got up to chase the scavenger away.

these two siblings fighting over this special spot in the mudpit. well. they were fighting like they were siblings.

this is our favorite elephant picture.

can you count how many elephants there are? this was such an amazing sight, in this picture we count 43...we are assuming that there were probably closer to 50 since we were so fascinated by it that we didn't count until after some had started walking away

after seeing the huge herd disperse, we went back to our hut and there were more elephants strolling by, very close.

this was the closest we got to any of the animals. it was amazing and kind of terrifying at the same time.
