Man it gets bright early in Johannesburg. by 5AM it's getting light out and the sun is up at 530AM. Our loft was great, but the skylights meant we woke up with the sun. After we got up, we decided to investigate the 44 Stanley complex (block? area?). Our loft was on the same block around the corner from it. There were coffee shops, restaurants and neat stores that were on the street level around the corner. Very awesome and convenient. We dove right into the mix with a Red Bus tour of the city (which served as our ride around for most of the day). Followed by a glimpse into the recent history of Johannesburg, with a visit to Constitution Hill and the Apartheid Museum.
