The best memories one can have

Events

Family vacations, friend gatherings, shows etc. I have a bad memory. This means I must use my photographs

to capture as much of the energy and life of the event as possible. Events are listed in chronological order,

Cars

I love cars. I love all cars (and even some trucks!). I don't care what make, model or year. I love them for

their purpose, mechanical achievements, sacrifices, beauty and historical significance. My love for cars can be

traced right back to my dad. I remember re-upholstering the carpet in the '68 280SL (much to the chagrin of

my mom, who's garage parking spot was suddenly taken up by car seats and door panels). I remember taking

a trip to Long Island, NY, a 2-hour drive, still ill from food poisoning...just to keep my dad company while he

went to look at a '72 2002 (not sure he was too happy about that...). My first car was a 1984 BMW 325e,

Delphin Grey, Natur Leather, 5-speed coupe. I still have a connection to that car, I learned to drive in the real

world in it. I learned what can happen when you mix ice and stupid driving...I learned how to be alert and

safe. Most of all that 325e taught me how much fun one can have.

Portfolio

I don't really know what a portfolio should encompass, or contain. In my case, i'll say my portfolio is a

collection of the absolute best photos i've got. Best in either quality, meaning or representation. I want my

pictures to represent what I saw at that very moment, even if it means getting uncomfortably close to frame

the subject right :-)
